Bob Nordquist is based in St. Paul, MN and has been recorded and released 9 albums since 1998 as a solo act, or with the bands he has led.  He has performed his folk/rock music throughout the Midwest at a variety of music venues including festivals, bars, coffee houses, parks, back yards and open streets.

Bob's songs tell stories of life in the cities, small towns, and woods of Minnesota as well as his travels throughout the world.  Bob is heavily influenced by songwriters such as Bruce Cockburn, T-Bone Burnett, Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, but with rhythms and melodies influenced from World Music artists from Africa, Latin America and elsewhere.   Bob recently retired as an environmental engineer/manager where he protected the Mississippi River and the Twin Cites Region by enforcing environmental regulations. His music heavily reflects his love for the environment and its affect on the citizens of the world.

With the passing of musical collaborator and dear friend Leo Whitebird, Bob has moved on from Sargasso and is booking and performing as a solo artist as well as developing new musical connections.
